Maintenance Planner / Material Controller

About the Role

Applicantz is seeking a Maintenance Planner / Material Controller for a contract position in the Makkah region, specifically in Rabigh or Makkah. This role is central to ensuring the efficient execution of maintenance activities by meticulously planning, scheduling, and coordinating tasks while also managing the availability of necessary materials.

Role Overview

The Maintenance Planner / Material Controller will be responsible for integrating maintenance planning with material control to prevent delays. This involves developing comprehensive plans and ensuring that all required materials are on hand, thereby supporting seamless maintenance operations for routine, preventive, and shutdown work.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and update maintenance plans, work schedules, and job packages for routine, preventive, and shutdown work.
• Coordinate with maintenance, operations, and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of required materials and spare parts.
• Control and track material inventory, stock levels, reorder points, and material requisitions for maintenance jobs.
• Prepare work orders, bills of materials (BOMs), and job estimates using CMMS/ERP systems such as SAP or Maximo.
• Monitor maintenance backlog and provide reports on planning efficiency, material status, and schedule compliance.
• Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to expedite critical materials and resolve material shortages.
• Support shutdown/turnaround planning by ensuring materials, tools, and resources are pre-staged and available.
• Maintain accurate records of material transactions, consumption, and maintenance history.

Experience Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in maintenance planning and material control is required for this role.

Work Type and Location

This is a contract position based in the Makkah region, with primary locations in Rabigh and Makkah. The role demands a professional who can operate effectively within a dynamic industrial environment.
