Job Description
About the Role
Oil Support Services is seeking a Shipping Coordinator to join their team in the Eastern Province, covering cities such as Dammam, Al Khobar, Dhahran, and Al Jubail. This full-time role involves planning work schedules and monitoring operations within the crude oil section to ensure all activities adhere to established standards, procedures, and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply approved section policies, processes, and procedures, and monitor adherence to ensure controlled operations.
- Execute and ensure crude oil loading and unloading operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in accordance with standards.
- Communicate with tank farm operators and supervisors to facilitate safe and efficient tanker loading and unloading.
- Conduct routine inspections on machinery to ensure continuous operations and initiate work requests for equipment maintenance.
- Report all operational comments and remarks to the shift supervisor or superintendent that may affect productivity.
- Assist in periodic inventory of materials in storage to ensure availability and prepare material requests.
- Coordinate with the maintenance division to exchange information on progress and report defective machinery or equipment.
- Supervise the activities of subordinates, providing feedback to ensure work is carried out efficiently and according to targets.
- Provide work directions to assigned employees and oversee their tasks to ensure compliance with operating methods and procedures.
- Prepare timely and accurate section reports to meet company and section requirements.
- Comply with all relevant safety, health, and environmental procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a relevant field.
- Demonstrated ability to apply and monitor adherence to operational policies and procedures.
- Experience in coordinating with internal departments and external contractors/vendors.
Internal and External Interactions
The role requires regular interaction with various internal departments and divisions as needed. Externally, the Shipping Coordinator will engage with contractors and vendors to ensure smooth operations and maintenance coordination.
Work Environment
This is a full-time position based in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, with potential work across cities including Dammam, Al Khobar, Dhahran, Al Jubail, Al-Ahsa, Al Qatif, Ras Tannurah, Al Khafji, Buqayq, Al Mubarraz, and Al Hafuf. The role emphasizes adherence to safety and environmental procedures in a dynamic operational setting.
