Cost Manager

About the Role

Savills Middle East is seeking a Cost Manager to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves providing day-to-day cost management and commercial support to project teams, ensuring adherence to contractual agreements and project procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurate measurement, payment assessment, change control, forecasting, and record keeping.

Key Responsibilities

• Review contractor payment applications, verifying quantities, progress, supporting records, and contractual entitlement.
• Measure completed work and maintain auditable records for valuations, dayworks, and instructed changes.
• Prepare and update registers for variations, claims, commitments, procurement, and final accounts.
• Assess contractor quotations, rates, and build-ups, and prepare clear commercial recommendations.
• Support monthly cost reporting, cash-flow forecasting, anticipated final cost, and risk/opportunity analysis.
• Assist with contractual correspondence, notices, claims evaluation, and change-control administration.
• Prepare tender and contract documents, bills of quantities, estimates, and commercial comparisons as required.
• Coordinate with site, planning, design, and document control teams to validate commercial information.
• Maintain complete records for payments, variations, claims, negotiations, and final account settlement.
• Support value management, procurement reviews, and commercial meetings with clients and contractors.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for this position should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in cost management or a similar commercial role within the construction or real estate industry. A strong understanding of contract administration, quantity surveying principles, and project financial controls is essential.
