The DevSecAIOps Engineer Role

Vrtx is seeking a DevSecAIOps Engineer to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position is for an individual who approaches infrastructure as an engineering discipline. The role emphasizes ownership of reliability, security, automation, and production operations. While the position is suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience, depth of understanding and quality of execution are considered more critical than the number of years in the field.

Core Responsibilities

• Ensure the reliability, security, and automation of production operations.
• Design and maintain secure and reliable CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement and manage monitoring, metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting systems.
• Troubleshoot production systems methodically to resolve issues.
• Develop and maintain strategies for high availability, backups, disaster recovery, and incident response.
• Apply understanding of security threats and their effective mitigations.
• Leverage AI tools and techniques to enhance operational efficiency while maintaining control.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong fundamentals in Linux, networking, DNS, TLS, load balancing, and firewalls.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience operating PostgreSQL in production, including availability, backups, recovery, monitoring, and performance troubleshooting.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.

Essential Competencies

• Understanding of secrets management and access control principles.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues in production environments.
• Knowledge of industry best practices for system security and operational resilience.
• Proactive approach to identifying and mitigating potential system vulnerabilities.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh. The Vrtx team is focused on building fintech enablement products within a collaborative and growing environment.
