Junior Network Engineer

Emdad By Elm is seeking a Junior Network Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position for professionals with 1-3 years of experience. The role focuses on operating, maintaining, and supporting the organization’s network infrastructure to ensure reliable connectivity, availability, and performance.

Role Overview

The Junior Network Engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting network issues, implementing approved changes, and supporting network improvement projects. This position is integral to maintaining the stability and efficiency of the network infrastructure within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot routers, switches, and wireless access points.
• Monitor network performance and availability, investigate incidents, and escalate complex issues when necessary.
• Configure and support VLANs, inter-VLAN routing, and routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP.
• Support LAN, WAN, and wireless network connectivity.
• Implement network security configurations, including access control lists (ACLs), in accordance with approved policies.
• Perform approved network changes and software upgrades, including implementation, validation, and rollback procedures.
• Resolve incidents and service requests within agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
• Maintain network diagrams, configuration backups, technical documentation, and asset records.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and service providers to resolve connectivity issues and support project delivery.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates should possess 1-3 years of experience in network engineering or a related field. A foundational understanding of network infrastructure, protocols, and security principles is required to succeed in this role.
