Senior Application Support Engineer

About the Role

J-B is seeking an experienced Senior Application Support Engineer to join its IT team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on ensuring the stability, availability, and performance of business-critical applications, while also supporting daily operations and continuous system improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise applications to ensure system availability and optimal performance.
• Manage and resolve application incidents and problems in accordance with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Perform application performance tuning, root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
• Monitor and maintain application integrations, interfaces, and legacy systems to ensure seamless data exchange.
• Coordinate application upgrades, patches, releases, and system enhancements.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, database, development teams, and external vendors to resolve technical issues.
• Maintain system documentation, incident reports, and operational procedures.
• Monitor and report on application availability, capacity, performance KPIs, and SLAs.
• Develop and maintain operational reports and dashboards.
• Support business-critical applications and ensure operational continuity, including 24/7 support when required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in application support, including at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and application performance monitoring skills.
• Experience in incident management, application maintenance, system integrations, and production support.
• Familiarity with third-party APIs and application integrations, particularly within the banking or financial services sector.
• Understanding of IT service management processes and SLAs.
• Knowledge of Retail or Corporate Lending systems and business processes is preferred.
