The Opportunity

Mace is seeking experienced Senior Construction Managers to join the delivery team for a major, high-profile stadium project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is part of one of the largest programs in Saudi Arabia, involving a significant mixed-use development that includes sports facilities, entertainment, arts, and associated infrastructure. These are hands-on site delivery positions supporting night-shift operations, with an initial focus on civil, structural, and superstructure works. The night-shift arrangement is expected to operate for a minimum of approximately 18 months, with six nights worked per week during each six-week rotation. This is a part-time position requiring 5-10 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee construction activities during the night shift.
• Maintain a strong, visible presence on site throughout the shift.
• Monitor civil, structural, and superstructure works to ensure appropriate delivery progress.
• Coordinate with contractors and the wider project delivery team.
• Maintain accurate shift diaries, construction logs, and records of site activities.
• Identify and escalate construction, program, or interface issues requiring resolution.
• Ensure health, safety, and site standards are maintained throughout night operations.
• Provide clear handovers and communication to the wider project team.
• Proactively challenge unsafe practices or poor site performance.
• Support effective coordination between construction packages and stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

• A degree or equivalent qualification in construction management, civil engineering, or a related built-environment discipline is preferred.
• Relevant professional membership or chartership is advantageous.
• Significant construction management experience on major, complex projects.
• Strong civil, structural, and/or superstructure construction experience.
• Ideally from a main contractor background, either currently in contracting or having transitioned to PMC/client-side project delivery.
• Experience working within Saudi Arabia or the wider Middle East is advantageous.
• Stadium experience is beneficial but not essential.

Required Skills

• Strong site leadership and practical construction knowledge.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during night operations.
• Capable of challenging contractors appropriately and maintaining high standards.

Work Environment

This role involves maintaining a highly visible presence across the site to ensure works are delivered safely and effectively during night shifts. The position is based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
