The Role: Senior Quantum Solutions Engineer ML

Pasqal is seeking a Senior Quantum Solutions Engineer ML to join the Quantum Applications department's delivery team. This full-time position is based in Makkah, specifically in Thuwal or Makkah, and focuses on building and delivering client-facing solutions utilizing Pasqal’s quantum ML algorithm portfolio. The role is application-driven, involving the adaptation, integration, and deployment of existing approaches to address real-world partner and client use cases. The primary objective is to transform current methods into reliable client deliverables, with contributions to internal method improvement welcomed when they directly support project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Adapt and implement Pasqal’s existing quantum-enhanced graph ML algorithms to meet client datasets, constraints, and performance targets.
• Build and maintain robust ML pipelines, including data ingestion, preprocessing, training, evaluation, and post-processing, with integration into quantum execution workflows, emulation/simulation platforms, and internal tooling.
• Establish baselines, metrics, and acceptance criteria with stakeholders, driving solution iterations until delivery requirements are met.
• Collaborate with internal R&D teams to transfer methods from research to application, clarify assumptions/limits, and select optimal approaches from the portfolio for each use case.
• Work with hardware and platform engineers to execute solutions on Pasqal QPUs, considering hardware and execution constraints, and reliability.
• Engage with domain experts from high-profile enterprises and partners to deliver solutions for real-world business problems.
• Produce maintainable code, documentation, and handover materials to ensure delivered solutions can be reused and supported.
• Maintain regular scientific and technological awareness.

Qualifications and Experience

• Approximately 5 to 10 years of professional experience as a machine learning engineer.
• Demonstrated interest in quantum computing.
• A background in physics is considered a plus, but is not a mandatory requirement.
