Role Overview

Worley is seeking a Brownfield Construction Superintendent WAS for a full-time position in Turaif, Northern Frontier. This role involves monitoring contractor activities during site-wide nightshift operations to ensure work aligns with project schedules, specifications, and safety standards, aiming for timely and quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate nightshift construction contractors to maximize productivity and maintain project schedules.
  • Report daily to the Senior Construction Manager and the Project Management team.
  • Contribute to weekly construction management meetings with contractors and management teams, reporting progress, issues, and schedule amendments.
  • Develop contingency and recovery plans as needed.
  • Monitor contractor performance and utilization, providing input for continuous improvement and strategy development.
  • Develop solutions for complex problems requiring innovation and ingenuity.
  • Develop necessary procedures.
  • Act as a liaison between multiple project managers, construction teams, and contractors.
  • Provide constructability input and support construction planning.
  • Ensure the safety of supervised personnel, compliance with established safety policies, and provide a safe work environment.
  • Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones, monitor progress, and issue reports as required.
  • Supervise the activities of contractors and subordinate staff.
  • Review projects in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
  • Attend weekly HSE Construction management walks of the construction site with contractors and client management teams.
  • Ensure Quality plans and QA/QC procedures are implemented and followed by all contractors, with required reports issued per contract stipulations.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Over 10 years of proven work experience in large-scale industrial projects.
  • Solid knowledge of construction techniques and safety aspects specific to nightshift working.
  • Demonstrated experience in safety implementation and successful safety performance.
  • Solid experience and performance in Quality Assurance.

Work Environment

This full-time position is based in Turaif, Northern Frontier, and involves nightshift operations on site.
