Senior Commissioning Manager

About the Role

Mace is seeking a Senior Commissioning Manager to lead commissioning activities for a complex, integrated infrastructure program in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, specifically covering Umluj and Tabuk. This full-time role involves overseeing the planning, coordination, execution, and handover of commissioning across various systems, ensuring all MEPH, ICT, controls, and utility systems are tested, integrated, and handed over safely and in accordance with project requirements. The position requires over 10 years of experience in a relevant field.

Project Context and Leadership

The Senior Commissioning Manager will provide strategic commissioning leadership to multiple contractors, consultants, operators, and stakeholders. This involves ensuring a structured transition from construction completion through testing, commissioning, operational readiness, and final handover. The role is critical in managing delivery from project inception through design development, planning, contractor procurement, and construction phases, aligning with the overall delivery program and agreed project milestones.

Key Accountabilities

• Lead the development and implementation of the overall commissioning strategy and delivery plan.
• Direct all commissioning activities across MEPH, ICT, ELV, utility, and infrastructure systems, including PMS, SCADA, BMS, CCMS, EMS, ELV, and integrated building technology systems.
• Understand system architecture and operational requirements for Master System Integration of all MEPH, ICT, ELV, FLS, Security, and AV systems.
• Manage integrated systems testing and end-to-end commissioning of interconnected assets.
• Coordinate commissioning activities between contractors, stakeholders, operators, and authorities.
• Oversee the review and approval of commissioning procedures, test scripts, and handover documentation.
• Monitor commissioning readiness across design, procurement, construction, and operations interfaces.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
• Lead the resolution of commissioning and operational performance issues.
• Support operational readiness and transition activities with end users and operators.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to commissioning teams across multiple workstreams.
