About the Role

SNC-Lavalin Fayez Engineering is seeking an Architect - Building to supervise and monitor architectural works during the construction phase. This full-time role involves ensuring compliance with approved designs, project specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements for complex building projects. The Architect will support the successful delivery of projects by maintaining architectural integrity, design intent, functionality, aesthetics, and construction quality throughout execution.

Key Responsibilities

This position encompasses construction supervision, technical review and coordination, quality assurance, and site monitoring. The Architect will be responsible for:

• Inspecting architectural works, including building finishes, facades, roofing systems, partitions, ceilings, doors, windows, and fit-out works.
• Verifying that construction activities are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
• Monitoring workmanship standards and ensuring architectural details are constructed to the required quality levels.
• Witnessing inspections and mock-up reviews to confirm compliance with project requirements.
• Identifying deficiencies and ensuring timely implementation of corrective actions by contractors.

Technical Review and Coordination

The role involves comprehensive technical review and coordination activities to ensure design and construction alignment. Specific duties include:

• Reviewing architectural shop drawings, material submissions, samples, and technical proposals for compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinating with structural, civil, MEP, landscape, and interior design teams to resolve design and construction interface issues.
• Evaluating requests for information, technical queries, and proposed architectural modifications.
• Supporting the review of value engineering proposals while maintaining design quality and functional requirements.
• Providing technical recommendations to resolve architectural challenges encountered during construction.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for this Architect - Building position should possess relevant experience and qualifications to effectively manage architectural supervision and coordination tasks.

• 0-1 years of experience in architectural supervision or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Strong understanding of architectural integrity, design intent, functionality, and aesthetics in construction.
