The Role of Assistant Chief Butler

The Assistant Chief Butler plays a central role in supporting the daily leadership and operations of the Butler department within Rosewood Hotel Group in Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves working alongside the Chief Butler to guide, motivate, and develop the Butler team, ensuring consistent delivery of Rosewood's luxury hospitality service standards. The role combines guest experience leadership, operational oversight, and team development, focusing on creating tailored guest experiences, driving service excellence, and maintaining operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily Butler operations to ensure consistent delivery of service standards.
• Foster guest experiences by anticipating needs, personalizing service, and overseeing arrivals, departures, and in-villa experiences.
• Coach, train, and support the Butler team, promoting continuous learning, engagement, and operational excellence.
• Oversee guest profiles, operational reports, service documentation, and departmental communications to maintain accuracy.
• Collaborate with operational departments to ensure flawless execution of guest requests, special occasions, VIP stays, and bespoke experiences.
• Monitor service quality through inspections, audits, and guest feedback, implementing corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives as needed.

Team Collaboration

As part of the Butler team, this role supports the delivery of highly personalized guest experiences across the resort. Reporting directly to the Chief Butler, the Assistant Chief Butler will work closely with the Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Culinary, Engineering, Transportation, and Concierge teams to ensure seamless service delivery and operational excellence for every guest stay.

Qualifications and Experience

• Substantial experience in a luxury hospitality supervisory or Butler leadership environment, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional guest service.
• Accredited Butler Certification and a solid understanding of luxury hospitality standards and personalized service principles.
• Demonstrated leadership ability to motivate, coach, and develop teams while maintaining a positive and professional working environment.
• Highly organized, capable of prioritizing competing demands, making sound decisions, and remaining composed in fast-paced environments.
• Strong communication skills to build effective relationships with guests, colleagues, and cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in using hospitality systems and technology platforms for managing guest preferences, operational information, and service delivery.
