Captain Bellstand

About the Role

Marriott Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Captain-Bellstand to join their team. This full-time position involves greeting guests, providing information on property amenities and local attractions, and assisting with various guest service needs. The role requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests, open doors, and assist with entry and exit from the property.
• Provide information on property amenities, services, hours of operation, and local areas of interest.
• Assist with luggage storage, retrieval, and transport to and from guest rooms or designated areas.
• Help guests in and out of vehicles, including loading and unloading luggage.
• Provide directions and arrange transportation services (*, taxi, shuttle, limousine) for guests.
• Dispatch bell staff or valet staff as needed and communicate parking procedures.
• Follow up with guests to ensure satisfaction with requests or problem resolution.
• Serve as a departmental role model and assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, and coaching employees.
• Maintain positive working relationships and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions, and maintain awareness of undesirable persons on premises.
• Ensure a clean and professional appearance and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests, anticipate service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation.
• Communicate professionally, answer telephones with appropriate etiquette, and comply with quality assurance standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats.
• Capacity to move at a speed required to respond to work situations (*, run, walk, jog).
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire shift.
• Capability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance, and over 75 pounds with assistance.
• Proficiency in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
• Capability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
