Captain Bellstand

About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Captain Bellstand to join their team in Makkah. This full-time position involves providing comprehensive guest services, including assistance with luggage, transportation, and general inquiries, while also serving as a departmental role model.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide information on property amenities, services, hours of operation, and local attractions.
• Assist guests and visitors with entering and leaving the property, including opening doors and helping with luggage.
• Transport guest luggage to and from rooms or designated bell areas, and assist with loading/unloading luggage from vehicles.
• Provide directions and arrange transportation services (*, taxi, shuttle, limousine), recording advance requests as needed.
• Dispatch bell staff or valet staff and communicate parking procedures to guests and visitors.
• Follow up with guests to ensure satisfaction with their requests or problem resolution.
• Serve as a departmental role model, assisting management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Maintain positive working relationships, adhere to company policies, and report accidents or unsafe conditions.
• Ensure a clean and professional appearance, maintain confidentiality, and acknowledge all guests with genuine appreciation.
• Communicate clearly and professionally, answer telephones appropriately, and comply with quality assurance standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats.
• Capability to move at speeds required for work situations (*, running, walking, jogging).
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire shift.
• Capacity to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds independently, and over 75 pounds with assistance.
• Proficiency in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, and navigate stairs and service ramps.
• Capability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

• Ability to assist individuals with disabilities.
• Awareness of undesirable persons on property premises.
