SLS The Red Sea is a luxury lifestyle destination located on the Red Sea coast in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, specifically in Umluj. As part of Ennismore’s portfolio, the resort features 150 keys, five Food & Beverage venues, and a spa. The company focuses on design, service, and social energy, aiming to provide a blend of indulgence and entertainment for guests.

The Role of Bell Captain

As the Bell Captain, you will lead the Bell team at SLS The Red Sea, ensuring smooth and welcoming guest experiences from arrival to departure. This full-time role involves overseeing daily Bell Desk operations, managing luggage handling, providing guest assistance, and coordinating transportation. You will work closely with the Concierge, Front Office, and Valet teams, maintaining a visible presence in the lobby and arrival areas to guide the team in delivering service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise daily Bell team operations to ensure consistent service for guest arrivals and departures.
  • Maintain a visible presence in the lobby, driveway, and resort arrival areas to support guests and colleagues.
  • Welcome and assist guests upon arrival and departure.
  • Oversee luggage handling, storage, delivery, and collection, ensuring security and efficiency.
  • Ensure proper luggage tagging, logging, tracking, and storage procedures are followed.
  • Coordinate with Front Office and Concierge teams for guest arrivals, departures, room moves, and other requirements.
  • Assist with transportation arrangements, including airport and private transfers.
  • Coordinate with Valet and transportation teams for efficient guest movements.
  • Stay informed about VIP arrivals, repeat guests, and special requests to support personalized service.
  • Provide accurate information about resort facilities, dining, activities, and the Red Sea destination.
  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and concerns professionally.
  • Supervise the secure storage of guest luggage and personal belongings, maintaining accurate records.
  • Ensure bell carts, luggage rooms, and storage areas are clean, organized, and ready for operation.
  • Maintain the presentation of the lobby, resort entrance, arrival areas, and Bell Desk according to SLS standards.
  • Conduct team briefings and provide guidance on service standards, safety, and daily operations.
  • Coach and support Bell team members, offering feedback and identifying development opportunities.
  • Monitor team performance to ensure professional grooming, conduct, and guest engagement.
  • Ensure guest requests are recorded, tracked, and followed through using resort systems.
  • Coordinate with Concierge, Front Office, Guest Relations, Valet, Security, Housekeeping, and other departments for seamless service.
  • Ensure all safety, security, guest privacy, and luggage-handling procedures are consistently followed.
  • Support the preparation of Bell Desk operational reports and guest feedback.
  • Support the Rooms team in improving the overall guest arrival and departure experience.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Bell Desk, Front Office, Concierge, or Guest Services, preferably within a luxury or lifestyle resort.
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is preferred.
  • Strong guest service and interpersonal skills with a proactive approach.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic or additional languages are an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of Opera PMS, guest request management systems, or similar hospitality technology is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of transportation arrangements, destination experiences, and guest activities.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team while remaining hands-on during operations.
  • Physically able to assist with luggage handling and remain active for extended periods.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required by resort operations.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Tabuk, specifically Umluj, at SLS The Red Sea. The role involves working within a dynamic resort environment that emphasizes guest experience and service standards.
