Electrical Technician

About the Role

Acwa is seeking an Electrical Technician to join its team in Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves executing various maintenance activities on plant equipment, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols. The role operates under the direct supervision of an Electrical Supervisor or Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute all Preventive, Corrective, and Condition-based maintenance activities.
• Perform annual outage and overhauling work activities on plant equipment.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and procedures in all tasks.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Generic awareness of Quality, Occupational Health & Safety, and Environment Management system principles.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Capability to complete objectives efficiently with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Willingness to work in non-ideal environments, including confined spaces, at heights, and around chemicals.
• Understanding, practicing, and enforcing safe work practices related to respiratory protection, elevated work platforms, fall protection, control of hazardous energy (Lockout/Tag-out procedure), fire protection systems, electrical safety, confined space entry, and PPE.
• Knowledge of waste identification, classification, and disposal.
• Awareness of the environmental and health impact of chemicals used in the plant.
• Familiarity with firefighting equipment and First Aid measures.
• Basic knowledge of Power/Water plant operational activities.
• Basic computer skills.

Experience Requirements

Candidates should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance within an industrial setting, preferably in power or water plants.

Work Environment

This role requires working in various plant environments, which may include challenging conditions such as confined spaces, elevated platforms, and areas with chemical exposure. A strong commitment to safety is paramount.
