Legal Advisor

About the Role

Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib (HMG) is seeking a Legal Advisor to provide accurate and timely legal advice and counseling. This permanent position involves a variety of legal matters, including regulatory compliance and legal services aimed at identifying and minimizing risks for HMG. The role requires 4 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal protection and risk management advice to management on all issues, particularly contract management.
• Advise and counsel on HMG’s policies and Labor Law affecting the company's interests.
• Inform staff across HMG projects about the legal effects of policy proposals.
• Instruct external legal advisers on registration appeals, judicial reviews, and other issues as directed.
• Respond to legal inquiries and assist in drafting legal opinions, memoranda, and briefing documents.
• Ensure all legal opinions and advice commissioned by HMG are properly logged and stored.
• Prepare and draft various acts, policies, contracts, briefs, appeals, agreements, and legal submissions, including legal opinions for litigation on behalf of HMG.
• Draw up formalities for dispute settlements and monitor the implementation of legal clauses.
• Maintain updated records of ongoing cases and advise management on necessary actions.
• Assist with drafting contractual clauses and other documentation when legal advice is required.

Reporting and Compliance

• Present regular reports and communicate results of legal research to management.
• Maintain legal reports and logs, ensuring timely provision of information.
• Conduct necessary follow-up activities and perform other assigned duties.
• Track deadlines for various corporate filings and compliance requirements.
• Ensure full and prompt implementation of all applicable laws and regulations across HMG.

Additional Responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing legal and other relevant documents to identify priority issues.
• Stay updated on laws and regulations from relevant legislative bodies directly or indirectly involved with HMG and its services.
• Suggest actions and/or settlements during litigation in accordance with HMG strategy.
• Collaborate with team members on legal cases/issues and communicate with all related parties across HMG.
• Maintain the strictest confidentiality of all incoming and outgoing correspondence.
• Participate in person-centered care initiatives undertaken by HMG.
• Enrich patient experience with compassion, respect, and dignity.
• Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Experience Required

Candidates should possess 4 years of experience in a relevant legal role.
