The Role of Manager, Project Base Metals Projects

The Manager, Project Base Metals Projects will be responsible for leading and managing all Base Metals (PBM) activities related to exploration projects in the Western Region. This full-time role ensures that all project endeavors align with strategic goals, adhere to established budgets, and meet defined timelines. The position involves comprehensive oversight of project planning, execution, and performance monitoring, requiring close coordination with various technical and business teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the portfolio of exploration projects in the Western Region, from initial planning through to execution.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
• Monitor project performance diligently and implement corrective actions as necessary to keep projects on track.
• Ensure strict compliance with internal governance frameworks, safety protocols, and environmental standards.
• Collaborate effectively with geoscience, finance, procurement, and operations teams to facilitate project objectives.
• Prepare and present comprehensive project updates and reports to senior leadership.
• Support robust risk management processes and change control procedures.
• Mentor project coordinators and actively contribute to capability development within the PBM department.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in project management, particularly within exploration or base metals projects. A PMP or equivalent certification is preferred.

Location and Work Type

This is a full-time position based in the Khurais oil field, Saudi Arabia. The role requires a commitment to managing complex projects within a dynamic operational environment.
