About the Role

FAENA is seeking a Paymaster to join our team in Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is critical for ensuring the accurate, timely, and confidential processing of employee payroll, adhering to both company policies and Saudi labor laws. The Paymaster will be responsible for calculating salaries, wages, overtime, and deductions, while also maintaining meticulous payroll records and resolving any discrepancies.

Role Purpose and Collaboration

The primary purpose of this role is to manage all payroll operations, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and internal controls. The Paymaster will work closely with the HR and Finance departments to facilitate proper employee payments and maintain accurate financial records. This position requires a professional with 2-5 years of experience in a similar capacity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process monthly payroll for all employees accurately and on time.
  • Calculate salaries, wages, overtime, allowances, and deductions in line with company policies and labor laws.
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records and personal data.
  • Ensure compliance with Saudi labor regulations, including GOSI, tax, and end-of-service benefits.
  • Verify attendance, timesheets, and leave records before payroll processing.
  • Handle payroll discrepancies, adjustments, and employee queries.
  • Prepare payroll reports for Finance and Management review.
  • Coordinate with HR regarding new hires, terminations, and salary changes.
  • Process final settlements for resigned or terminated employees.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of payroll information.
  • Reconcile payroll accounts with the general ledger.
  • Support audits by providing payroll records and documentation.
  • Manage bank transfer instructions for salary payments.
  • Ensure accurate deduction and payment of statutory contributions.
  • Assist in implementing payroll systems and process improvements.
  • Maintain compliance with internal controls and company policies.
  • Liaise with external authorities when required for payroll-related matters.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for the Paymaster position should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in payroll processing and management. A strong understanding of Saudi labor laws and regulations, including GOSI and tax requirements, is essential. The ability to manage confidential information with discretion is also required.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Saudi Arabia, where the Paymaster will operate within a professional office environment. The role involves close collaboration with both human resources and finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations.
