About the Role

Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib (HMG) is seeking a Quality Manager to join their team. This permanent position requires 5-10 years of experience and focuses on managing, coordinating, and implementing quality, patient safety, and clinical risk management initiatives. The role is designed to continuously improve all aspects of healthcare delivery within the hospital, promoting a culture of quality and working collaboratively across functional areas to achieve institutional goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and monitor quality, patient safety, and clinical risk management initiatives.
• Report to top management on performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide leadership in establishing and directing the Quality Program.
• Develop and maintain policies and procedures that meet national (MOH/CBAHI) and international (JCI) accreditation requirements.
• Ensure the adoption and effective implementation of an internal audit program.
• Analyze data on Quality Management System (QMS) effectiveness to identify continual improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to execute clinical quality data initiatives.
• Facilitate, integrate, and coordinate the implementation and evaluation of identified quality improvement areas.
• Liaise with external assessment bodies regarding accreditation processes.
• Conduct various audits for Quality Improvement, Patient Safety, Risk Management, Clinical Governance, Patient Experience, and Personnel Files.
• Manage and support the identification and mitigation of patient and caregiver safety risks.
• Facilitate root cause analysis, event and data reporting, and policy updates.
• Maintain knowledge of current best practices for a high-reliability care delivery system.
• Coordinate reporting on quality, patient safety, and clinical risk management initiatives to relevant committees.
• Assist with the development and monitoring of the Quality Management and Risk Management Work Plan.
• Lead accreditation efforts as required by Dr. Sulaiman al Habib Hospital.
• Ensure document control procedures are adopted for critical QMS documents.
• Ensure records are established and maintained to evidence QMS compliance.
• Review QMS performance at planned intervals to ensure suitability and effectiveness.
• Induct new staff into QMS requirements and provide update training.
• Ensure suppliers are selected, evaluated, and reevaluated, with records maintained.
• Ensure top management assesses customer satisfaction and implements consequent improvements.
• Identify Sentinel/Adverse Events and ensure reporting to government health agencies.
• Participate in committees, task forces, and Quality Initiatives education programs.
• Lead person-centered care initiatives and enrich patient experience.

Team and Resource Management

• Ensure sufficient resources and staffing for quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical risk management.
• Ensure staff participation in quality improvement and patient safety activities, including relevant training.
• Review staff performance, provide counseling for unsatisfactory performance, and address personnel and administrative issues.

Experience Required

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in quality management, patient safety, and clinical risk management within a healthcare setting.
