About the Role

Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib (HMG) is seeking a Quality Officer to join their team. This full-time role is responsible for implementing quality improvement initiatives and supporting the quality team in continuous education, training, monitoring, and audits, ensuring adherence to national and international healthcare accreditation standards.

Role Purpose

The primary objective of the Quality Officer is to drive the implementation of quality improvement strategies within the hospital. This involves actively supporting the quality team across various functions, including education, training, monitoring, and conducting audits, all aligned with established national and international healthcare accreditation standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and implement hospital policies, procedures, and plans based on national and international healthcare standards.
  • Represent the quality team in hospital-wide committees and provide technical assistance to various committees in meeting program objectives.
  • Implement the hospital's Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Plan and ensure compliance with National/International Healthcare Accreditation Standards.
  • Educate and train staff on Quality Improvement and Patient Safety principles.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives across all departments, coordinating with department coordinators based on approved criteria.
  • Prepare and review Quality Indicators as per national/international healthcare requirements and submit periodic reports to management.
  • Coordinate and monitor compliance with national and international hospital standards.
  • Coordinate data collection, validation analysis, trending, and benchmarking activities.
  • Facilitate and monitor the hospital's Quality Improvement projects.
  • Conduct periodic compliance surveys on Quality Improvement and Patient Safety.
  • Provide education and training on medical records audits and Quality Improvement Tools and techniques to relevant staff.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of patient satisfaction survey tools.
  • Review quality improvement and patient safety findings, and formulate recommendations to enhance the quality of care standards.
  • Participate in developing, implementing, and monitoring clinical care pathways, guidelines, and protocols.
  • Participate in person-centered care initiatives undertaken by HMG.
  • Contribute to enriching the patient experience with compassion, respect, and dignity.
  • Perform other relevant tasks as assigned by department managers/directors.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine, Nursing, Hospital Management, or Administration from a recognized national or international university is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of working experience in a tertiary healthcare organization in a similar position. Candidates must have direct involvement in national (CBAHI) and international accreditation (JCIA) processes in their previous organization.
  • Certifications: Relevant certification is required.
