Quality Specialist

About the Role

Fakeeh Care Group is seeking a Quality Specialist to join their team in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is responsible for overseeing performance improvement projects, conducting clinical reviews, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards across the facility. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Role Purpose and Context

The Quality Specialist plays a central role in maintaining and enhancing patient care quality and safety. This involves conducting mortality and morbidity reviews, performing focused reviews of practice and documentation, and collecting essential data to drive performance improvement initiatives within the Fakeeh Health Care facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed chart reviews for mortality and morbidity triggers as outlined in relevant policies.
• Prepare agendas and minutes for the M&MC, and present cases during meetings.
• Perform qualitative reviews of documentation in the EMR to ensure compliance with clinical documentation policies.
• Generate and analyze monthly audit reports, identifying discrepancies and areas for improvement against internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
• Communicate audit findings to Quality Risk Management (QRM), the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), and other relevant departments, proposing actionable improvements.
• Serve as an active member on selected committees.
• Participate in the validation process for new KPIs and collect manually gathered KPIs from assigned end-users.
• Continuously monitor the privacy and confidentiality of patient documents and information.
• Contribute to ensuring compliance with regulatory, governmental, and accreditation standards.
• Actively participate in projects focused on continuous quality and safety improvements.
• Contribute to educational initiatives on audit processes, quality standards, and regulatory compliance, including workshops on documentation accuracy and patient safety.
• Facilitate professional development to keep staff updated on healthcare quality management and audit techniques.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in a relevant field.

This is a full-time position based in Makkah, with operations also extending to Jeddah. The role involves working within the Fakeeh Health Care facility, collaborating with various departments to ensure high standards of quality and patient safety.
