Senior Construction Engineer Pipeline

About the Role

Lamprell is seeking a Senior Construction Engineer Pipeline to join their team in Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading and coordinating day-to-day construction execution on site, acting as a key support to the Construction Manager. The primary objective is to ensure pipeline and associated facility works are delivered safely, on schedule, and in full compliance with approved engineering drawings, specifications, and Saudi Aramco standards.

Role Context and Purpose

The Senior Construction Engineer Pipeline supports the Construction Manager in translating project plans into field execution. This includes providing technical and supervisory oversight across all onshore construction work fronts, such as ROW works, trenching, welding, lifting, lowering-in, hydrotesting, tie-ins, and SIMOPS. The role is critical in driving productivity, quality, and safety performance throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, sequence, and supervise daily construction activities across all work fronts to meet project schedule targets.
• Act as the Construction Manager's primary site representative, ensuring instructions and priorities are executed by subcontractors and crews.
• Coordinate work-front resources (manpower, equipment, materials) to maintain progress and resolve site bottlenecks.
• Ensure construction activities are executed per approved IFC drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Liaise directly with Aramco site PMT, inspection, and QA/QC teams on construction progress and technical queries.
• Represent the Construction Manager in site coordination meetings, progress walks, and technical clarifications.
• Ensure all construction work is carried out under valid Permit to Work and in full compliance with HSE requirements.
• Enforce quality control checkpoints and hold points per the project Inspection & Test Plan (ITP).
• Monitor daily/weekly progress against the project schedule and flag deviations to the Construction Manager.
• Prepare daily construction reports, progress updates, and productivity data.
• Supervise and direct subcontractor construction crews, ensuring productivity and workmanship standards.
• Review and interpret construction drawings and specifications; raise RFIs and technical queries as needed.
• Coordinate construction interfaces with brownfield operations, other contractors, and simultaneous operations (SIMOPS).
• Coordinate timely availability of materials, plant, and equipment for construction work fronts.
• Act on behalf of the Construction Manager in their absence, representing the project in key site meetings and decisions.
• Escalate critical site issues, risks, and resource constraints to the Construction Manager in a timely manner.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction engineering, specifically within pipeline projects.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate day-to-day construction execution on site.
• Strong understanding of Saudi Aramco standards and project specifications.
• Experience in managing subcontractor crews and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Eastern, Saudi Arabia, requiring a strong on-site presence and active involvement in construction operations. The role involves close coordination with various teams, including client representatives, subcontractors, and internal departments.
