Role Overview

Alfanar Projects is seeking a SR. ENGINEER, PLANNING to join their team in the Eastern Region of Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves conducting critical path analyses, recommending mitigating actions, reviewing target budgets, and initiating monthly progress reports for project updates. The position requires 4-6 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop fully integrated Baseline EPC Level 3 schedules in Primavera P6 and Level 2 schedules for proposals.
• Perform monthly updates of Project Master Level 3 schedules and conduct Critical Path Analyses, recommending necessary mitigating actions.
• Produce progress and productivity curves, along with earned value reporting.
• Participate in regular project team reviews, Public Planning Meetings, and Last Planner Meetings.
• Prepare recovery schedules, revised baselines, and delay analyses, highlighting delays to the project control manager/project manager in advance.
• Support the project team in developing action plans to avoid/minimize cost/schedule overruns.
• Track budgets, highlight budget impacts to the project control manager, and update budgets in SAP.
• Review target budgets in conjunction with engineering, project, and construction management.
• Support the change control process, including establishing forms, logs, and expediting methods.
• Assist in risk register development and invoicing processes.
• Initiate daily discussions with project groups to assess change/schedule implications and estimate resources based on site productivity.
• Prepare project updates, monthly progress reports, schedule forecasts, and staffing histograms.
• Collect information and produce monthly Status Reports for Project Managers, issuing formal reports with project input.
• Initiate ad hoc progress reports for effective EPC controls and provide statistical data for management reviews.

• Provide periodic reports detailing deviations and execution of planned tasks.

• Ensure quality requirements are met, developing effective quality control and processes.
• Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automation opportunities.
• Comply with relevant policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental management procedures within the defined work area.

Work Location

This position is based in the Eastern Region of Saudi Arabia, covering cities such as Dammam, Al Khobar, Dhahran, Al Jubail, Al-Ahsa, Ras Tannurah, Buqayq, Al Qatif, Safwa, Sayhat, Tarut, Al Hafuf, Al Mubarraz, Al Jafr, Umm Al Hamam, Inak, Darin, and Al Jish.
