Technician plumber

About the Role

Sheraton is seeking a full-time Technician - Plumber with 0-1 years of experience. This role involves responding to guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance, and addressing a variety of maintenance issues within the property.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve guest repair requests and maintenance issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machines for proper function.
• Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings.
• Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
• Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts using approved communication programs.
• Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, and light bulb and A/C filter replacement.
• Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on various equipment, including plumbing (*, unclogging drains), electrical components, and guestroom items.
• Program TVs and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties.
• Utilize the Lockout/Tagout system before performing maintenance work.
• Perform repairs on interior and exterior landscaping, including external landscaping sprinklers.
• Follow all company safety and security policies, report maintenance problems or hazards, and complete safety training.
• Maintain a professional appearance, confidentiality, and protect company assets.
• Welcome guests according to company standards, anticipate service needs, and assist individuals with disabilities.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 0-1 years of experience.
• License or Certification: Valid Driver’s License.
• Skills: Basic computer skills, including inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes. Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting. Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is a plus.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience required.
