Core Responsibilities:
- Manage the planning, design, layout, and maintenance of warehousing facilities and storage areas for optimal utilization.
- Develop and recommend measures to enhance service quality and performance efficiency.
- Ensure effective planning of all warehouse resources and activities to meet business needs.
- Collaborate with customers to understand their business requirements and facilitate service requests effectively.
- Oversee that inbound stock is delivered according to order requirements, ensuring proper receiving, unloading, and assembly procedures.
- Conduct regular stock counts to ensure accuracy between book and physical counts.
- Perform periodic reviews to ensure compliance with established guidelines and procedures in warehouse operations.
- Identify long-term stock and report to senior management.
- Address stock discrepancies, manage overages, shortages, damages, and rejected materials promptly.
- Ensure documentation accuracy for incoming and outgoing stock.
- Implement systems to manage warehouse activity data for record accuracy.
- Prepare and present periodic reports on warehouse activities to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory norms regarding warehouse operations.
People Management:
- Define goals and KPIs for team members, ensuring effective implementation of performance management processes.
- Develop talent within the team through guidance, mentoring, and coaching.
- Foster a culture of feedback and continuous coaching within the department.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management; Master’s degree in Business Administration preferred.
- A minimum of 810 years of relevant experience, including 45 years in warehousing and supply chain, ideally within the retail industry.
