Merchandising Team Leader

About the Role

Arla Foods is seeking a Merchandising Team Leader to join their team in Abha, 'Asir. This full-time role involves leading and developing a team of merchandisers, ensuring effective product display and promotional execution within retail environments. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, motivate, inspire, and develop the merchandising team.
• Ensure the application of the FIFO concept on-shelf and product display according to planograms.
• Manage business tools including merchandising follow-ups, company policies, visiting schedules, own deliveries, execution planning, and the merchandiser's manual.
• Manage own merchandising routes and support merchandisers in creating creative displays and in-store activities.
• Provide on-the-job training and motivation for merchandisers.
• Oversee merchandiser payroll and vacation follow-ups.
• Drive the usage and communication of Point of Sale Materials (POSM).
• Ensure allocated shelf space adheres to contract terms, and develop and maintain shelf share, display share, and customer relationships.
• Drive promotional events and merchandising activities, such as festivals and in-store promotions.
• Regularly review and optimize merchandiser routes while ensuring excellent in-store execution as per Perfect Store standards.
• Manage, coach, and train a multicultural team of merchandisers across various depots within a specific area, acting as a liaison between marketing, sales, and logistics departments.
• Track trade reports and communicate findings with the sales team.
• Drive any other sales and merchandising work-related tasks.

Experience and Qualifications

• A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a merchandising or team leadership role.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and lead a team effectively.
• Proficiency in managing merchandising operations and business tools.
