The Role

The Pediatric Ophthalmology Consultant will be responsible for the comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of medical diseases and conditions specific to pediatric ophthalmology. This full-time role requires the provision of expert medical care in strict accordance with current medical staff bylaws, established rules and regulations, and Magrabi Health's policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of patient safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide required patient care and management within Pediatric Ophthalmology, upholding established standards of medical practice.
• Deliver high-quality patient care across all aspects of Ophthalmic Surgery, consistent with approved clinical privileges.
• Admit patients, initiate necessary investigations, and ensure all clinical findings are accurately recorded and documented.
• Assess patients' diseases or conditions to accurately determine and implement appropriate therapeutic modalities and procedures.
• Ensure thorough patient preparation for all procedures and surgeries, performing interventions as indicated in the signed clinical privilege form.
• Follow up on investigation results for both inpatients and outpatients, modifying treatment plans accordingly to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this pivotal role must demonstrate a strong commitment to pediatric ophthalmic care and meet the following essential criteria:

• A medical degree with board certification in Ophthalmology.
• Specialization or fellowship training in Pediatric Ophthalmology.
• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of post-specialization experience in Pediatric Ophthalmology.

This full-time position is based at our facility in Abha, 'Asir, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will work within a collaborative and professional medical environment dedicated to delivering exceptional patient outcomes in pediatric ophthalmology.
