About S-Chem and the Opportunity

S-Chem is seeking a full-time Analyst Corporate Accounting to join its team in Al Jubail, located in the Eastern region. This role is central to performing monthly close duties, maintaining accurate financial records, and preparing comprehensive financial reports and spreadsheets. The ideal candidate will bring 5-10 years of relevant experience to ensure compliance with company and international accounting standards.

Role Purpose and Scope

The primary purpose of the Analyst Corporate Accounting is to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data through diligent monthly closing processes. This involves strict adherence to established accounting standards and company policies, contributing to reliable financial reporting and analysis for S-Chem's operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform all necessary journal entries for monthly General Ledger (GL) closing, including posting entries in SAP after verification of request forms and supporting documents.
  • Manage the classification, calculation, processing, and reconciliation of payroll, benefits, regulatory, and administrative expenses, such as monthly End-of-Service (EOS) provisions, HOP transactions, bonuses, Saving & Fitness plans, medical charges, GOSI, and full payroll processing for distribution partners and secondment staff (CPC).
  • Calculate, reconcile, and process VAT and IFRS16 obligations, involving contract review and interest calculations.
  • Process dividend payments, Purchase Order (PO) and Non-PO transactions from distribution partners, amortization, and commissions.
  • Prepare monthly accounts analysis and reconciliations, ensuring the overall accuracy of the organization’s general ledger.
  • Support the annual budget process for General & Administrative (G&A) and Selling, Distribution (SD) Cost Centers.
  • Prepare for the annual SOX audit and maintain updates to the Reporting and internal auditing system.
  • Execute month-end close processes in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring proper financial record-keeping.
  • Prepare and analyze assigned balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring proper documentation and justification.
  • Perform any other relevant tasks as directed by the Section Head Corporate Accounting.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in corporate accounting or a related financial role.
