About the Role

PaxOcean is seeking a Commercial Manager to join its team in Al Jubayl, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is central to supporting PFMC (Saudi) commercial operations across key segments, including ship repairs, conversions, and the fabrication of marine and offshore structural blocks.

Strategic Commercial Development

• Develop and refine commercial strategies aligned with marine and offshore project trends in the Middle East, with a primary focus on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• Execute commercial strategies to achieve revenue and margin targets for ship repairs, conversions, and fabrications within the Kingdom.
• Establish a new client base and manage the vendor registration process for all Marine and Offshore customers operating in KSA.
• Follow up with new clients to promote Supply Base capabilities and service support, aiming to generate new revenue streams.
• Engage with customers on enquiries and manage competitive quotations and tariffs for PFMC.
• Monitor tenders with customers and agents, and negotiate contracts and projects.

Operational Oversight and Compliance

• Conduct estimating and commercial invoicing activities within KSA.
• Manage client relationships for PFMC and ensure timely submission of work done reports.
• Collaborate with the PaxOcean Saudi Operations team to maintain optimal critical inventory levels for materials and consumables.
• Ensure internal stakeholders understand and adhere to contractual obligations, identifying any process violations.
• Assess potential risks and provide recommendations for mitigation.
• Offer functional and management support for Change management, including the negotiation and settlement of Change/Variation Orders with clients.
• Review existing company procedures and policies related to commercial management, providing constructive feedback for refinement and updates.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in the commercial shipyard sector.
• A strong grasp of Saudi Maritime Business is mandatory, with a Middle East-centric background preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Management or Business Administration, or a degree in Maritime Studies.

Key Skills and Software Proficiency

• Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word).
• Familiarity with SAP Project Management.
• Experience with Salesforce is preferred.
• Demonstrated team management experience.
• Strong leadership capabilities.
• Effective client management and customer service skills.
