Payable Accountant

About the Role

Total Safety EMEA is seeking a Payable Accountant to join their team in Al Jubail, Eastern Province. This is a contract position requiring 2-5 years of relevant experience. The role focuses on managing accounts payable functions and ensuring accurate financial record-keeping.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly VAT and WHT returns.
• Process payment vouchers, checks, and journal entries.
• Follow up on advance payments made to suppliers and employees.
• Reconcile books of accounts.
• Record bank deposits, update and distribute cash receipt logs, and post cash to the accounts receivable sub-ledger.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
• Conduct daily AP reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly and weekly payment forecast reports in collaboration with sales, operations, and procurement teams.
• Manage petty cash.
• Prepare AP aging reports and follow up with the procurement department and suppliers.
• Assist with monthly and yearly financial closing processes.
• Undertake any other tasks or duties as assigned by the team lead or Chartered Accountant.

Required Experience

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably with a focus on accounts payable and general ledger functions. This experience should include familiarity with the preparation of tax returns and financial reconciliations.
