About the Role

Courtyard by Marriott is seeking a Purchasing Clerk to join their team in Al Jubail. This is a full-time position open to Saudi nationals only, requiring 0-1 years of experience. The Purchasing Clerk will be responsible for managing inventory, processing orders, and ensuring the accuracy of records related to food and supply procurement.

Key Responsibilities

Calculate figures for food inventories, orders, and costs.
Maintain clear and organized records for all reports and invoices.
Post invoices using computer programs and conduct inventory audits.
Complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies, and notify management of low stock levels.
Verify and track received inventory, completing inventory reports and logs.
Reconcile shipping invoices and receiving reports to ensure count accuracy.
Receive, unload, and process deliveries, refusing damaged or incorrect items.
Troubleshoot vendor delivery issues and oversee the return process.
Adhere to food safety and handling policies and procedures across all food-related areas.
Monitor PAR levels for all food items to ensure proper stock levels.

Workplace Conduct and Safety

Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager.
Complete all required safety training and certifications.
Follow all company policies and procedures, ensuring a clean and professional appearance.
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
Communicate professionally and prepare accurate written documents.
Develop positive working relationships and support team goals.
Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements and Skills

Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats.
Capable of visually inspecting tools, equipment, or machines for defects.
Proficiency in entering and locating work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems.
Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
Capable of moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
Ability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, and over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces.
Capable of reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
