About the Role

Abdullah A. Al-Barrak & Son Co. (ABIS) is seeking a Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join our Scaffolding Department in Al Jubail, Eastern Province. This full-time role involves managing and controlling costs associated with scaffolding projects, ensuring financial efficiency and adherence to budgetary guidelines. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate quantity take-offs, developing cost estimates, and generating comprehensive budget reports for various projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and verify quantity take-offs for scaffolding materials and labor requirements.
• Develop detailed cost estimates and budgets for upcoming and ongoing scaffolding projects.
• Monitor and control project costs throughout their lifecycle, identifying and reporting any variances from the approved budget.
• Review subcontractor quotations and contracts specifically related to scaffolding works.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure cost-effectiveness and implement value engineering principles.
• Maintain accurate financial records and prepare regular, comprehensive cost reports.
• Assist in procurement activities and participate in contract negotiations with suppliers and contractors.
• Ensure all financial and operational activities comply with company policies and relevant industry standards.

Required Experience and Expertise

Candidates for this position should possess 5 to 10 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a specific focus on scaffolding projects. The role requires proven expertise in understanding scaffolding materials, labor costs, and equipment expenses. A strong background in cost management and estimation within the construction or industrial scaffolding sector is essential.
