About the Opportunity

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions is seeking a Safety Officer to join their team in Al Jubail, Eastern region. This full-time position offers an opportunity to contribute to safety standards within oil and gas facilities, ensuring a secure working environment for all personnel.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of the Safety Officer is to conduct thorough safety inspections on equipment, tools, and working conditions across oil and gas facilities. This role is critical for maintaining worker safety and requires a strong technical understanding of maintenance jobs related to safety, coupled with proactive problem-solving and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment, tools, and working conditions to ensure worker safety at oil and gas facilities.
• Examine safety belts, ladders, ropes, rubber goods, and tools, replacing any items that do not meet established safety requirements.
• Observe crews during work to identify and report any laxity in safety precautions, such as the failure to use goggles, rubber gloves, or other safety devices.
• Assess the conditions of ditches and tunnels, recommending the use of braces to prevent cave-ins that could endanger workers.
• Investigate accidents to determine their root causes and develop effective preventive measures.
• Provide instruction to workers on the correct use of safety equipment and safe work methods when necessary.
• Ensure strict compliance with all safety procedures throughout operations.
• Encourage the reporting of unsafe acts and conditions among all personnel.
• Comply with all Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) procedures both prior to and during work activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 6 to 8 years of experience in oil and gas maintenance.
• Demonstrated strong safety leadership skills.
