Saudi Kayan Petrochemical Company is seeking a Sr. Engineer, Polymer Process to join its team in Al Jubail. This full-time role is integral to supporting operations and ensuring the optimal performance of Polymer plants within the company's facilities.

Role Purpose and Scope

The primary purpose of this position is to provide technical assurance and drive continuous optimization for Polymer plant performance. The Sr. Engineer will be instrumental in troubleshooting operational challenges, implementing long-term improvements, and developing studies to address and uplift process limitations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide process 'know-how' support for plant upsets, complex troubleshooting, shutdown, and start-up, ensuring plant process integrity through a well-defined operating envelope.
• Participate in HAZOP studies and highlight potential process safety concerns.
• Develop project feasibility studies and project development packages to meet all CAPEX cycle requirements.
• Develop studies scope, ensuring they meet plant requirements with the highest cost-effectiveness and within the required timeframe.
• Review "Process" (MOCC) and approved concept development packages (CDP).
• Improve Catalyst performance to sustain consistent catalyst batches for smooth operation of the reactor.
• Continuously optimize feedstock (TMR, Chemical & Additives) to support PTAI and SVR initiatives.
• Continuously improve TPS operation continuity, reducing quality issues in TPS, and monitor utilities consumption.
• Participate in or lead teams responsible for implementing new products and processes.
• Manage communication with the Licensor, Technology and Innovation (T&I), Center of Excellence (COE), and other affiliates & vendors.
• Carry out process modeling as required to support optimization and modification requirements.
• Accurately report sustainability KPIs (SABIC & SEEC) for PE plants and suggest/implement ideas to reduce gaps.
• Provide required Process assistance for TAM related items.
• Perform all tasks and activities assigned by the Department leader in terms of development and/or business demand.

Required Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in polymer process engineering within a petrochemical environment.
