About Chevron Phillips Chemical Company

Chevron Phillips Chemical Company operates through its wholly owned affiliate, Arabian Chevron Phillips Petrochemical Company (ACP), in joint ventures within the Eastern Province Industrial City of Al-Jubail, Saudi Arabia. These include Saudi Chevron Phillips Company (SCP) and Jubail Chevron Phillips Company (JCP), both 50/50 joint ventures with Saudi Industrial Investment Group (SIIG). A third joint venture, Saudi Polymers Company (SPCo), is jointly owned by ACP and National Petrochemical Company (Petrochem).

Role Overview: Technician Electrical

The Technician Electrical is responsible for executing routine repair and corrective maintenance activities, performing basic troubleshooting, and rectifying Electrical process equipment and systems. This full-time role is crucial for maintaining the availability and reliability of plant operations. The Technician operates under supervision and strictly adheres to established maintenance Standard Operating Procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a role model for safety, embodying the principle of "Work safely or not at all" and applying the Tenets of Operation in all actions and decisions.
• Promote proactive safety by taking personal responsibility to identify and address "at risk" behaviors and conditions, contributing to the overall goal of zero incidents.
• Interpret diagrams and schematic drawings to determine appropriate work procedures.
• Review and understand received work orders, then execute tasks in compliance with their requirements.
• Apply for and obtain necessary work permits for maintenance jobs.
• Execute plant maintenance on various process equipment and systems.
• Perform troubleshooting and rectification of process equipment and systems.
• Assist in the testing and commissioning of new or modified process equipment and systems.
• Support turnaround maintenance activities.
• Implement risk control measures and safety procedures to ensure all work activities are performed safely and in compliance with EHS systems.
• Participate actively in toolbox meetings before commencing work.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards in the workplace.
• Document all work performed using test forms and condition reports.
• Adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures for all maintenance work.
• Follow established environmental, health, safety, and quality policies and procedures to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance, high-quality service delivery, and responsible environmental practices.
• Undertake accountabilities within the operational excellence process as defined in the schedule of responsibilities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement processes within the assigned area.
• Perform any other relevant tasks as directed by the Supervisor Electrical.

Required Qualifications

• Academic Qualification: Diploma degree or equivalent
• Qualification Discipline: Electrical Engineering

Work Location

This full-time position is based in Al Jubayl, Saudi Arabia, within the industrial facilities of Chevron Phillips Chemical Company's joint ventures.
