Makeen is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join its team in Al Khobar, Eastern Region. This contract position is designed for individuals with 0-1 years of experience who are ready to support critical logistics operations within a dynamic environment.

Role Overview

The Logistics Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the day-to-day logistics and shipment expediting processes. This position ensures the timely coordination of shipments, customs clearance, and associated documentation. The role also involves assisting in the optimization of logistics processes and serving as a key liaison between internal departments and external service providers to facilitate accurate and on-time delivery of materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including documentation and scheduling.
• Expedite and liaise with suppliers, transporters, and internal teams to ensure timely shipment delivery.
• Communicate with various internal teams (*, warehouse, production, procurement, sales, aftersales, MRO, finance, IT) to coordinate logistics activities and provide shipment status updates.
• Maintain accurate records of all shipments and logistics activities.
• Ensure all logistics processes adhere to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
• Update logistics data within IFS systems and generate basic operational reports.
• Track shipment milestones and share updates with relevant teams.
• Communicate effectively with procurement, warehouse, and external service providers.
• Assist in resolving routine logistics and delivery-related issues.
• Apply for governmental requirements for shipment customs clearance, such as SABER and FASAH.
• Promptly escalate any delays or exceptions to the Logistics Manager.
• Apply for customs duty exemptions when necessary.
• Handle the delivery of materials to secure government locations.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 0-1 years of experience in a logistics or supply chain coordination capacity. A foundational understanding of logistics processes, customs clearance procedures, and supply chain coordination is beneficial for success in this position.
