About Ulteum and the Role

Ulteum is seeking a Distributed Control System Engineer to join our team in Al Khobar, Eastern Province. This full-time position involves specialized field service for industrial control systems within the energy, oil & gas, and power generation sectors.

Role Summary

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of industrial control systems and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to clients. This role requires a professional with 5 to 10 years of relevant field service experience, focusing on the installation, commissioning, and support of critical control platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and provide ongoing support for control systems platforms on turbines, engines, and generators.
• Deliver SCADA integration and troubleshooting support across various control systems and networks.
• Execute system upgrades, perform loop checks, conduct I/O verifications, and carry out functional testing at customer sites.
• Analyze control issues, formulate effective solutions, and implement corrective actions in a timely manner.
• Maintain precise records of site activities, service reports, and all relevant technical documentation.
• Interface directly with customers to provide technical training, guidance, and continuous support.
• Ensure strict compliance with site safety policies and Woodward quality standards during all operations.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant field service experience in industrial control systems.
• Demonstrated strong technical knowledge of industrial control systems.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex control system issues.
• Experience working within the energy, oil & gas, and power generation sectors is essential.

Work Environment and Travel

This role is based in Al Khobar and requires significant travel, up to 50% of the time, across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC region to support client operations. The engineer will work directly at customer sites, adhering to all safety and quality protocols.
