About the Scaffolding Supervisor Role at Marco

Marco is seeking a dedicated and experienced Scaffolding Supervisor to join our team in Al Khobar, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is critical for ensuring the safe and compliant execution of all scaffolding operations on our projects.

Role Purpose and Context

The Scaffolding Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of scaffolding activities, including erection, alteration, inspection, and dismantling. This role ensures strict adherence to safety standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements, maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel involved.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise all scaffold erection, alteration, inspection, and dismantling activities.
• Ensure scaffolding is erected and maintained in accordance with GI **, approved scaffold drawings, and project requirements.
• Confirm that scaffolders are trained, competent, and properly supervised.
• Inspect scaffold materials and components before and during erection to ensure suitability and compliance.
• Conduct and document scaffold inspections prior to release for use and following any alteration or modification.
• Ensure proper Red/Yellow/Green scaffold tagging is implemented and maintained as applicable.
• Maintain physical presence during scaffold erection, alteration, and dismantling activities, exercising effective supervision over scaffold craftsmen.
• Immediately stop and rectify any unsafe or non-compliant scaffolding activity.
• Maintain comprehensive scaffold inspection records, checklists, and tagging records.
• Coordinate effectively with the HSE and Construction teams regarding all scaffolding activities.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Possession of a valid Saudi Aramco-approved Scaffold Supervisor certification, with Scaffold Supervisor I preferred, as applicable to the project scope.
• Proven experience in Saudi Aramco construction projects is preferred.

Essential Skills and Technical Knowledge

• Good knowledge of various scaffold systems, including tube-and-coupler, system, frame, mobile, and bracket scaffolds.
• Strong understanding of scaffold inspection procedures, tagging systems, fall protection, scaffold drawings, and safe erection/dismantling practices.
• Ability to accurately read and interpret scaffold drawings/plans and applicable safety requirements.
