Vector/Pest Controller

About the Role

KBR Saudi Arabia is seeking a Vector/Pest Controller to join their team in Al-Kharj. This full-time role is integral to the KBR PSAB Program, which provides comprehensive Base Operating Support-Installation (BOS-I) services at Prince Sultan Air Base (PSAB) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing integrated pest management functions to control and prevent infestations, supporting the operational readiness of PSAB and its associated units.

Responsibilities

• Function as an integral team member, cooperating with and supporting * deployed forces and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).
• Inspect buildings, land, and surroundings for pest infestations.
• Apply chemicals, lay poisonous bait, set mechanical traps, or implement other necessary treatments to resolve pest problems.
• Clean areas that harbor pests in preparation for fumigation, as required.
• Implement and develop Pest Management Plans in accordance with USAF approved AFIs.
• Provide operational control to OCN personnel escorting during work hours, including to and from visitor-controlled areas.
• Ensure all work locations maintain an effective Integrated Pest Management plan and adequate inventories, submitting requests to USAF for low inventory.
• Ensure customer satisfaction with services provided.
• Perform routine assigned tasks under direct supervision, following established guidelines and procedures.
• Utilize various equipment to eliminate pests while adhering to QHSE guidelines.
• Perform light to heavy duties related to the treatment, casing, and removal of harmful pests.
• Ensure the successful delivery of services to approximately 4,000 personnel.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in pest management or a related field.
• Ability to conduct pest management surveys and determine necessary actions.
• Capability to interact and coordinate with medical activities for health hazard control.
• Proficiency in completing required reports and tasks according to established policies and procedures.
• Knowledge and skills in using various equipment for pest elimination.

Material and Equipment Used

The role may involve exposure to potentially hazardous conditions requiring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, gloves, steel-toed boots, hearing protection, and safety glasses. Tasks may require pushing, pulling, and lifting heavy equipment. Communication tools like Land Mobile Radios, cell phones, and laptops will be used for work activities and accountability.

Work Environment

Work will be conducted both indoors and outdoors, with potential exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, and chemicals. Overtime and shift work may be required based on contractual needs, along with occasional to frequent travel. The employee must adhere to all Federal, State, and Local regulations, Company work rules, and written instructions. Task-specific work environment training may be provided. The ability to function in a wartime or contingency environment to support * interests is essential.

Physical Activities

Physical requirements include lifting up to 35 lbs individually, team lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, stooping, stretching, and bending. The role requires wearing personal protective equipment such as hearing and eye protection, hard hats, and steel-toed boots. Individual Protective Equipment (IPE), which may include Level III plus/IV Individual Body Armor with ballistic plates, ACH helmet, and reflective vests, may also be required. Moderate physical exertion, including walking to operating areas and climbing stairs, is expected.
