About the Role

Mehad is seeking a dedicated and experienced Purchasing Specialist to join our team in Dammam, Eastern Region. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of experience and plays a crucial role in managing our procurement processes to ensure optimal value and operational efficiency for the company.

Role Purpose

The Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the purchasing cycle, from supplier identification and negotiation to contract management and quality control. This role is essential for maintaining strong supplier relationships and securing the best possible terms for the company's operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Search for and establish communication with suppliers, contractors, and vendors.
• Negotiate prices and terms to ensure the best value for the company.
• Manage purchase orders, contracts, and agreements effectively.
• Monitor deliveries, inventory levels, and overall purchasing activities.
• Oversee the quality of all received materials and services.
• Develop and maintain a reliable database of approved suppliers.
• Prepare and present monthly reports and statistical analyses related to procurement.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of professional experience in a purchasing or procurement role.
• Demonstrated experience working on large-scale projects.

Essential Skills

• Very strong negotiation skills with a proven track record.
• Ability to achieve significant cost savings, targeting 15-20%.
• Exceptional attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
