About the Role

Megarme, a company with over 34 years of operation in the UAE, is establishing a new presence in Saudi Arabia. This full-time Accountant role is based in the Eastern Province and involves managing the complete accounting cycle for the newly established Megarme KSA. The position requires a proactive professional capable of independent work, sound financial decision-making, and adherence to strict deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish the chart of accounts, accounting system, opening balances, and financial reporting structure.
  • Develop accounting procedures, month-end checklists, approval workflows, and document controls.
  • Maintain the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and supporting records.
  • Manage customer invoicing, collections, supplier and subcontractor payments, employee advances, and petty cash.
  • Prepare accounts receivable and accounts payable ageing reports and follow up on outstanding balances.
  • Perform bank, balance-sheet, supplier, customer, payroll, and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Complete monthly and year-end closing, including accruals, provisions, prepayments, and depreciation.
  • Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet, cash-flow, and management reports, as well as annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and audit-ready accounting records, coordinating internal and external audits.
  • Set up and maintain project cost codes, approved budgets, and billing schedules.
  • Track manpower, payroll, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs by project.
  • Prepare WIP, progress billing, retention, cost-to-complete, and project margin reports.
  • Monitor project profitability and report actual or forecast cost overruns.
  • Prepare and file VAT returns and reconciliations, ensuring ZATCA-compliant e-invoices.
  • Coordinate Zakat and/or Corporate Income Tax filings and calculate Withholding Tax.
  • Process payroll, allowances, overtime, deductions, leave provisions, and end-of-service benefits.
  • Prepare/upload Mudad/WPS files and reconcile GOSI contributions.
  • Maintain a compliance calendar for all statutory filings and payments.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • 2-5 years of experience in an accounting role.
  • Strong knowledge of ZATCA, VAT, corporate tax, withholding tax, GOSI, Mudad/WPS, Qawaem, Saudi Business Centre, and e-invoicing.
  • Familiarity with other accounting and finance requirements related to Saudi government authorities.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound financial decisions.

  • Accurate tax, payroll, and statutory filings.
  • Reliable project profitability and cash-flow reporting.
  • Complete, audit-ready accounting records.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position within a newly established company in Saudi Arabia, operating as part of the Megarme brand. The role involves coordination with the Megarme UAE finance team and requires liaising with ZATCA, auditors, banks, tax advisers, and relevant authorities.
