About the Role: Auto Electrician

Matar Al-Baqami Holding is seeking a dedicated Auto Electrician to join its team in Dammam, Eastern Province. This full-time position is crucial for maintaining the electrical integrity and operational reliability of a diverse fleet of heavy vehicles, ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.

Role Summary

The Auto Electrician will be responsible for the comprehensive diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of all electrical systems and components across trucks, trailers, and heavy vehicles, including specialized equipment like hoopers and bulkers. This role ensures that all vehicles are in safe, reliable operating condition, adhering strictly to both company and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical wiring, circuits, and components in trucks and trailers.
• Maintain and troubleshoot lighting systems (headlights, indicators, brake lights, interior lights, etc.).
• Service and repair starter motors, alternators, and batteries.
• Diagnose and repair truck electronic control systems (ECU, ABS, EBS, transmission electronics).
• Install and maintain sensors, relays, switches, and other electronic components.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems to reduce downtime.
• Utilize diagnostic tools, multimeters, and scanning devices to accurately identify electrical issues.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and service manuals.
• Ensure proper record keeping of repairs, parts used, and maintenance performed.
• Adhere to workshop safety standards and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when performing tasks.
• Provide support for emergency roadside repairs when required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience as an auto electrician, with a preference for experience with heavy trucks and trailers.
• Strong knowledge of truck electrical systems, including 24V systems, sensors, alternators, and starters.
• Understanding of CAN bus systems, ECU, and modern truck electronics.
• Basic knowledge of the electrics of hydraulic and pneumatic systems is considered an advantage.
