About the Role

Matar Al-Baqami Holding, through its Salama Radiator Factory, is seeking an experienced Production Head - Aluminum radiators. This full-time position is based in Dammam, Eastern Province. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing all manufacturing operations related to aluminum radiators, focusing on achieving production targets, maintaining quality standards, and improving operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

The Production Head will oversee a comprehensive range of activities to ensure smooth and efficient manufacturing processes. This includes strategic planning, operational management, quality control, and team leadership.

• Develop and implement production plans to meet targets and quality standards.
• Manage all aspects of aluminum radiator manufacturing operations.
• Drive process improvement and productivity initiatives.
• Ensure stringent quality management and compliance.
• Lead, manage, and develop the production team.
• Coordinate effectively with maintenance and other internal departments.
• Uphold health, safety, and environmental compliance.
• Control costs and participate in budget management.
• Prepare and present performance reports and KPIs.

Manufacturing Operations and Process Optimization

This role requires hands-on oversight of the entire production lifecycle and a commitment to continuous improvement.

• Oversee all manufacturing activities, including Core Building, Tube & Fin Assembly, Header Plate Assembly, Furnace Brazing Operations, TIG/MIG Welding, Fabrication and Tank Assembly, Leak Testing & Pressure Testing, Final Assembly and Dispatch.
• Ensure strict adherence to approved manufacturing procedures and work instructions.
• Optimize machine utilization and overall production capacity.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, TPM, and 5S initiatives to enhance efficiency.
• Reduce production cycle time and manufacturing costs.
• Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and monitor productivity, implementing corrective actions as needed.

Quality Assurance and Safety Management

Maintaining high product quality and a safe working environment are paramount responsibilities.

• Ensure full compliance with customer specifications and established quality standards.
• Coordinate with the Quality Department to effectively address and resolve non-conformities.
• Monitor rejection trends, implementing timely corrective and preventive actions.
• Participate in root cause analysis for all quality-related issues.
• Ensure all products undergo and pass required inspections and testing prior to dispatch.
• Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
• Promote a safe working environment and foster a zero-accident culture.
• Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to safe operating practices.

Team Leadership and Inter-departmental Coordination

The Production Head will lead a diverse team and ensure seamless collaboration across departments.

• Lead and manage Production Engineers, Supervisors, Team Leaders, Technicians, and Operators.
• Conduct workforce planning and optimize manpower allocation.
• Evaluate employee performance, providing coaching and training for development.
• Cultivate a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the production team.
• Conduct regular production meetings and performance reviews.
• Coordinate with Sales, Procurement, Stores, and Quality departments to ensure a smooth production flow.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance Department to ensure maximum equipment availability and support preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Minimize machine breakdowns and production interruptions.
• Participate in the commissioning and installation of new machinery and equipment.

Performance Reporting and Financial Oversight

This role involves diligent monitoring of performance metrics and active participation in financial management.

• Prepare comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators including Production Achievement, OEE, Machine Utilization, Labor Productivity, Rejection & Scrap Rates, On-Time Delivery Performance, and Downtime Analysis.
• Present operational performance reports to senior management.
• Monitor manufacturing costs and proactively identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Control labor costs, material consumption, and overtime expenses.
• Optimize raw material utilization and reduce waste.
• Participate in annual budgeting and operational planning processes.
