About the Attendant Laundry Role

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is seeking a full-time Attendant Laundry to join our team in Dammam, Eastern Region. This role is integral to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction expected at our properties.

Core Responsibilities

The Attendant Laundry will be responsible for the operation and control of various laundry machinery, including washing, dry-cleaning, and drying equipment. This involves the precise addition of chemicals and routine maintenance such as cleaning lint filters. A key aspect of the role is the careful identification of stained or damaged items, determining the appropriate treatment, re-washing, or discarding. Following each cycle, items removed from machines will be inspected for cleanliness and placed into clean linen carts.

Operational Duties

• Operating and controlling laundry machinery, including washing, dry-cleaning, and drying equipment.
• Adding necessary chemicals to machinery.
• Cleaning lint filters from dryer and dry-cleaning machines after each load.
• Programming dryer time and temperature settings based on fabric types.
• Folding clean items to designated sizes, manually or using a folding machine.
• Maintaining accurate records of washed and ironed items.

Physical Requirements

This position involves physical tasks requiring the ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than 25 pounds (** Kg) without assistance. The role necessitates standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods or the entire work shift. Visual inspection of tools, equipment, or machines is also part of the duties. Candidates must be able to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting at the waist, reaching, crouching, and kneeling. Movement may occur through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, and on uneven, slippery, or sloped surfaces and stairways, including ascending and descending stairs and service ramps.

Work Location and Type

This is a full-time position based in Dammam, Eastern Region. The Attendant Laundry will perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors, contributing to the overall operational efficiency of the laundry department.
