About the Attendant Laundry Role

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is seeking an Attendant Laundry to join our team in Dammam, Eastern Region. This full-time position offers an opportunity to contribute to the operational efficiency of our hotel's laundry services. The role requires a dedicated individual with 0-1 years of experience, ready to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and garment care.

Core Responsibilities

The Attendant Laundry will be responsible for the operation and upkeep of laundry and dry-cleaning machinery. Key duties include monitoring equipment, managing laundry supplies, and meticulously inspecting garments. This role demands attention to detail in identifying and addressing any issues with stained or damaged items, ensuring all items meet cleanliness standards before being processed or returned.

• Operating and monitoring washing machines, dry-cleaning machines, and dryers.
• Replenishing laundry supplies and cleaning filters as necessary.
• Identifying stained or damaged items and determining appropriate action (repair, spot treatment, rewash, or discard).
• Inspecting outgoing items for cleanliness after washing, drying, or dry-cleaning processes.
• Placing clean items into designated clean linen carts.
• Adjusting dryer duration and temperature based on specific fabric types.
• Removing lint and other elements from dryer and dry-cleaning machine filters after each load.
• Folding clean items to specified sizes, either manually or using a machine.
• Maintaining a list of cleaned items as required.

Adherence to all safety policies and procedures is paramount. This includes reporting any maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries promptly. The role requires completion of all mandatory safety training and certifications. Maintaining a clean and professional uniform and appearance is expected, along with respecting the confidentiality of proprietary information and protecting company assets.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This role involves physical activity and requires the ability to perform various tasks. Candidates must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds (* kg) without assistance. Extended periods of standing, sitting, or walking are expected, potentially for a full shift. Visual inspection of tools, equipment, and machines is necessary. The role may also involve reaching for objects overhead and below the knees, bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, moving within narrow or confined spaces, and navigating sloped, uneven, or slippery surfaces. Climbing stairs and service ramps may also be required. Performing other tasks as requested by managers that are within the scope of the position is also part of the role.

Qualifications and Experience
