About the Role

Matar Al-Baqami Holding is seeking a dedicated Debt Collection Officer to join our team in Dammam, Eastern Province. This full-time position is crucial for managing the collection of overdue accounts and contributing to the company's financial stability by reducing bad debt.

Role Purpose and Impact

The Debt Collection Officer plays a vital role in ensuring timely receivables and maintaining healthy cash flow. This involves direct interaction with clients to facilitate payments and negotiate repayment plans. The officer will collaborate closely with the finance and accounts departments, providing essential reports on outstanding debts and offering insights to improve overall financial health.

Key Responsibilities

• Contact customers through various channels to remind them of overdue payments and negotiate suitable repayment plans.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all communications and payment agreements within company databases.
• Investigate and resolve customer inquiries and discrepancies related to payments and account statuses.
• Review accounts receivable aging reports to prioritize follow-up actions on overdue accounts effectively.
• Develop and implement collection strategies that adhere to all legal and ethical standards.
• Work towards achieving established collection targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Liaise with legal advisors as required for the collection of disputed accounts.
• Provide feedback on common payment issues to support the improvement of company services and payment processes.
• Assist in reporting collection results to management and offer recommendations for process enhancements.

Candidate Profile and Experience

We are looking for a professional with 2-5 years of experience in debt collection or a related financial role. The ideal candidate will possess a high level of integrity and ethical standards, demonstrating a strong customer-focused and service-oriented mindset. The ability to manage multiple deadlines and perform effectively under pressure is essential for this role.
