About the Sales Engineer Role
ALHAZM Company for Industrial Equipment is seeking a Sales Engineer to join their team in Dammam, Eastern Region. This full-time position focuses on the sales and support of woodworking machinery and related production solutions to industrial clients.
Core Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of this role is to drive sales opportunities for woodworking machinery and production solutions within the assigned region. This involves engaging with a diverse customer base, including furniture factories, carpentry workshops, joinery companies, contractors, and other industrial woodworking businesses. The Sales Engineer will be expected to conduct customer visits, perform product demonstrations, and manage the sales cycle from initial contact through to closing.
Customer Engagement and Needs Assessment
A key aspect of the role involves understanding customer requirements in detail. This includes identifying their specific needs, application demands, budget constraints, decision-making processes, and project timelines. Based on this assessment, the Sales Engineer will promote suitable woodworking solutions, clearly articulating both the technical and commercial advantages to the client.
Sales Process and CRM Management
The Sales Engineer will be responsible for preparing the necessary technical input for quotations, collaborating with the Sales Coordinator, Product Manager, and Procurement Officer to ensure accuracy and completeness. Maintaining up-to-date records within the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system is crucial. This includes documenting customer visits, tracking sales opportunities, managing quotation statuses, and recording all follow-up actions.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Candidates should possess technical sales experience, preferably within the woodworking machinery or industrial equipment sectors. The ability to comprehend customer applications and propose appropriate solutions is essential. Strong communication, follow-up, and negotiation skills are vital for success in this client-facing role.
Work Location and Type
This is a full-time position based in Dammam, within the Eastern Region of Saudi Arabia. The role requires regular interaction with industrial customers in the area.
