About the Role

Dammam Airports is seeking a Financial Controller General Manager to oversee the Financial Excellence division. This full-time role is based in Dammam, Eastern region, and is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of financial operations across the three airports (DMM, HOF, AQI). The position focuses on implementing effective financial control processes, enhancing operational efficiency, and managing financial risks to support the organization’s strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive financial control strategies and methodologies to ensure robust financial management.
• Ensure strict adherence to accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal financial policies across all operations.
• Conduct regular financial audits and reviews to verify the accuracy and reliability of financial data and compliance with regulations.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks by developing adequate risk management controls and processes.
• Optimize financial processes and workflows by integrating advanced technologies and best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics, provide insights and recommendations for improvement, and oversee the preparation and review of financial statements for the three airports to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the Financial Excellence team, setting clear performance goals and providing continuous feedback and support.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement strategic financial plans that align with the organization’s long-term objectives across all three airports.
• Oversee the development and implementation of the annual budget and financial planning processes, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
• Ensure compliance with reporting requirements and standards, providing accurate and timely financial information for the three airports to stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Financial Controllership division, implementing best practices and process improvements.

Team Leadership and Development

The Financial Controller General Manager will lead, mentor, and develop the Financial Excellence team, setting clear performance goals and providing continuous feedback and support. This includes conducting regular performance evaluations, identifying training needs, and implementing development programs to enhance team capabilities. The role also involves overseeing the Controllership and Project Accounting teams, ensuring alignment with divisional objectives and organizational goals.

Strategic Planning and Stakeholder Collaboration

This position requires collaboration with executive leadership to develop and implement strategic financial plans that align with the organization’s long-term objectives across all three airports. The role participates in formulating corporate strategies, providing financial insights and support for decision-making processes, and ensuring the alignment of divisional activities with strategic goals. Additionally, the Financial Controller General Manager will collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations and engage with external stakeholders such as auditors, regulatory bodies, and financial institutions to maintain compliance.

Budgeting and Financial Analysis

Responsibilities include overseeing the development and implementation of the annual budget and financial planning processes, monitoring budget performance, and implementing corrective actions to meet financial targets. The role provides financial forecasts and scenario analyses for strategic planning and decision-making, ensuring timely and accurate financial data availability. Furthermore, the position conducts financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, supporting strategic decision-making and developing financial reporting systems and tools.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in financial control and management.
