About the Generator Winder Specialist Role

Siemens Energy is seeking a Generator Winder Specialist to join its team in Dammam, Eastern Region, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is crucial for supporting the strategic expansion of new generator fleet developments and ensuring the ongoing reliability of the existing fleet. The role involves hands-on work on high-quality stator winding, inspections, and repairs to enhance service operations and overall fleet performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform complete rewinding of generator stators, including coil removal, manufacturing, and installation.
• Execute high-quality brazing, taping, and blocking of winding components according to engineering specifications.
• Assemble and disassemble large generator components for maintenance and repair activities.
• Conduct comprehensive electrical tests on windings, such as insulation resistance and high potential (Hi-Pot) tests.
• Inspect generator components for wear, damage, or defects, with a focus on stator cores and windings.
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance, repair, and testing activities, ensuring adherence to EHS protocols.

Required Qualifications

• A technical diploma or vocational degree in Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Between 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience as a Generator Winder or in a comparable heavy electromechanical repair role.
• Demonstrated experience with the winding and repair of large-scale power generators, including both stators and rotors.

Technical and Problem-Solving Skills

• Strong technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering principles.
• Proficiency in preventive maintenance and quality control practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
